Fishtail With A Twist

  1. Start with all of your hair down. It can be wet or dry and you can do this on any hair texture.
  2. Tease the crown a little so it doesn’t get completely flat up top! You always want to give the top at least a little texture when doing a messy braid.
  3. Make a regular low ponytail using a thin clear elastic.
  4. Gently pull the clear elastic down about an inch to an inch and a half.
  5. Split the hair in two sections just above the clear elastic.
  6. Loop the whole ponytail up and around and through the hole.
  7. Fishtail the hair under the clear elastic.
  8. Gently pull the braid apart to give it some soft, messy texture.
  9. Carefully cut out the top clear elastic, but leave the bottom one.
  10. Wrap a little hair around the bottom clear elastic to hide it. Use a small bobby pin on the back side to secure.

I've seen these all over the internet, so i decided to make this DIY [:

Materials:
  • 64 Pack of Crayons (I prefer taking out the blacks and browns)
  • Hot Glue Gun

Steps:
  1. Arrange the crayons in the order you would like them glued.
  2. Using the hot glue gun, glue the crayons onto the top of the canvas.
  3. Prop the canvas up so the crayon tips are facing down.
  4. Turn on the hair blow dryer on high.
  5. Begin melting the wax by setting the hair blow dryer by the crayons. You can tell the crayons are beginning to melt when it becomes shiny.
  6. Now display your masterpiece [:

Embellished Bag Strip

From My Favorite Blog/Book, P.S- I Made It.

It’s only rock n’ roll but, P.S.- I like it! We’ve said it before and we’ll sing it again, nothing goes together like music & fashion. The glam rock movement emerged in the 60s with artists like Gary Glitter and David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust defining an era, and inciting designers and fashionistas to make bold statements with exaggerated make up, androgynously edgy styles and gems, stones and jewels stacked for miles. Nobody blings it on better than the indisputable rock god of couture Karl Lagerfeld…who infuses head to toe concert chic in his creations for Chanel, Fendi and his own eponymous lines. We took to the stage, with Who What Wear, to  turn a simple shoulder bag into an embellished instrument of DIY style! To create:  Re-purpose a bag with a removable strap.  Use caribiners to secure a guitar strap onto the bag by clipping where the original strap was secured.  Gather various pearls, gemstones, studs, crystals and rhinestones and lay out  to cover the front of the guitar strap.  Once you are happy with placement begin to stud and glue each in place. P.S.- use tweezers to help you place each embellishment as you glue.  Allow to try before you wear!
